Congratulations to MOMENTUM coordinator Juliette Legler for winning the EUROTOX 2024 Lecture Award, presented to scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the science of drug and chemical toxicology. In her lecture, Juliette talked about endocrine disruptors and microplastics and emphasized the importance of forging connections between disciplines and stakeholders to overcome scientific challenges.

Other MOMENTUM researchers who contributed to the congress are Nelly Saenen from UHasselt, Yvonne Staal from Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu, Raymond Pieters and Annemijne van den Berg, both from Utrecht Universiteit. They shared their latest research in both podium and poster presentations, which included the effects of microplastics and nanoplastics in the contexts of intestinal models, human macrophages, and inflammation-related events.
