MOMENTUM research at microplastics symposium

MOMENTUM researcher Irene Gosselink from Universiteit Maastricht was recently invited to present her work at the Microplastic and Human Health Symposium in Bergen, Norway. The symposium was organised by the Plastics Network of the University of Bergen. Irene’s research focuses on the exposure to microplastics and nanoplastics in the air through inhalation. At the symposium, she presented her latest findings on the effects of different types and sizes of plastic particles on cells in our lungs and airways.
