Milou Dingemans (PhD, ERT) works as a toxicologist and researcher in the Chemical Water Quality and Health team of KWR Water Research Institute. She studied Biology, followed by a PhD and postgraduate research in the field of human toxicology. After her PhD research at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS, Utrecht University), she worked as a postdoc at the Neurotoxicology Research Group and was subcoordinator of EU-funded project DENAMIC and interim coordinator of the N3rvousSystem project funded by the joined Dutch (ZonMw) & German (BMBF) InnoSysTox program.
At KWR, Milou evaluates the health significance of chemical contaminants in the watercycle, including drinking water and its sources. Her focus is the application of innovative testing methods and risk assessment strategies for assessment of chemical water quality.
Milou is guest researcher at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS, Utrecht University). She is a member of the international Society of Toxicology and the Dutch Society of Toxicology.
