Ad Ragas holds a position as a full professor in Environmental Natural Sciences at the Open University (since 2010) and as an associate professor at the Radboud University (since 1990). His main expertise is the modelling of human and ecological risks of chemicals, with a focus on pharmaceuticals and microplastics. He has extensive experience in coordinating scientific projects and as a member of scientific advisory boards on chemical risk assessment (e.g. Dutch Health Council and EFSA).
